COVID-19 – “It is Crazy Times We Live In”

While that statement is very true….sadly very true….I don’t want to use that as an excuse to hide my head in the sand and not help as many people as I can.
While I can’t help everybody, I can do my best for the community of artists and crafters that have proven to be some of the best people I have met. These artists and crafters are out there struggling to get back on their feet after a number of the outdoor art and crafts shows have been cancelled.
That being said, I want to give props to the promoters out there. They are the people that advertise these shows for us. They are the ones that bring the customers to our booths to help us sell our arts/crafts. They have proven to be the artists true partners during these times. They have even gone as far as to market our items online (i.e. on Facebook at HAE/ACE Art Marketplace)
Being an artist and a business person is an interesting personality type. The creative process is usually done in solitude and during quiet times. While we are self-quarantining, I am sure most artists are enjoying time in their studio and making things. However, being a business person requires being in front of people and making connections. This might be through the outdoor shows (which have been cancelled or posponed in most states), Art Galleries (which sadly have been closed in most states), or online. This is a definite time of struggle for most artists….myself included.
However, this is where I hope we can all help and “pay it forward” to this wonderful community. 5% of any order that comes through my online store between 3/24/2020 and 4/15/2020 (not including shipping costs) will be donated to CERF+ There is so much help needed out there, however, if we all pay what we can forward, we can all make it through these “Crazy Times”
